WAR LETTERS

This is a special link for any visitors who may still have letters from friends, relatives or any ancestor who was involved in any Anglo/ American Wars - a unique project to preserve the correspondence of those people - well, just follow the link and read it for yourself.  Perhaps you have a letter tucked away from someone who left the area and was in that country during the Civil War? Andrew Carroll is a lovely person and deserves our time, if not a medal, for his selfless work, so please show your support by passing on the details of the project to anyone you know to have correspondence but is not on the internet. Only copies are required, so these can easily be sent by email.

LOCAL RESEARCHER

CHRISTINE SNOWDEN

Christine lives in Kilham and undertakes paid research on behalf of others.  She travels many miles in search of those elusive ancestors and knows all the right places to look. Highly recommended and very reasonable. Consider the costs in relation to travel and that dead end you’re reached because you’re researching from a distance.
