1864 SALTER'S DIRECTORY OF YORKSHIRE
DRIFFIELD AND OTHER VILLAGES
Post Office, Market Place, Great Driffield, Frederick Frank Dobson, Post Master - Letters from London and all parts arrive at twenty minutes before eight morning and  
seventeen minutes past five evening and are desptatched to Lowthorpe, Bridlington & Bridlington Quay at seven in the morning, to Hull &c at ten minutes before
one and to London and all parts at ten minutes before six in the evening.  Box closes twenty minutes before time of despatch.
Post Office, Burton Agnes, William Gray, receiver - Letters from all parts arrive (from Lowthorpe) at a quarter past nine in the morning and are despatched thereto
a quarter past four in the afternoon
Post Office, Harpham, William Woodmansey, receiver - Letters from all parts arrive (from Lowthorpe) at half past eight in the morning and are despatched thereto 
at five in the evening
